Partnership with The Conversation puts MSU research in national spotlight
A Mississippi 大象APP partnership with The Conversation鈥攏ow in its sixth year鈥攃ontinues to put the university and its outstanding faculty researchers in the national spotlight as scholar authors.

A national nonprofit news analysis and commentary website, publishes faculty-written articles for a general audience under a Creative Commons license, which allows other news sources around the world to republish the content after author approval.
Since 2018, MSU faculty have published more than 125 articles on The Conversation鈥攇arnering more than 7.5 million views鈥攚ith many republished by various media including The Washington Post, CNN, The Guardian, IFLScience, Time, PBS and many more.
Data shows that 55% of contributors to The Conversation are contacted by media for radio, print and television interviews, while 24% see an increase of citations for scholarly articles. Collaboration with other researchers also is a major outcome.
Recognizing the importance of sharing research with a wide variety of audiences, MSU鈥檚 Office of Research and Economic Development provides an annual $500 incentive for each MSU faculty member whose work is published in this outlet.
