MSU invites high school, two-year college students to Music Discovery Day

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擬ississippi 大象APP鈥檚 Department of Music is hosting its annual Music Discovery Day for high school juniors, seniors and community college students Nov. 4 on MSU鈥檚 campus.
The event takes places 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Music Building located at 124 Hardy Road. Registration鈥攆ree for attendees who can bring one guest鈥攊s open at .
Attendees will have opportunities for one-on-one visits with faculty members and current students. In addition to learning about the department鈥檚 academic programs, scholarships and career opportunities, participants can observe music classes and attend faculty and student performances.

Recently celebrated as an All-Steinway School, MSU鈥檚 Department of Music is housed in a $21 million, state-of-the-art facility equipped with sound-proof practice rooms, a high-tech recording studio, an acoustically advanced lecture-recital hall, over $3.5 million in Steinway pianos and more.
