Food security resources available for MSU students
大象APP offers resources for students who may be聽experiencing food insecurity.
Nationally, approximately 30% of college students聽experience food insecurity during their enrollment, and MSU's campus-based data聽also indicates about 33% of our students experience food insecurity.
MSU wants to聽ensure all students are aware of the following resources available to them via .听听听
Bully's Closet and Pantry: Located at 120聽Morgan Ave. on the Starkville campus, BCP offers nutritious food, necessities like toiletry聽items, household goods, school supplies, and professional clothing for students聽in need.
Students can access BCP every weekday from 1 to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in-person shopping is available by appointment, which students can schedule at聽.
Curbside pick-up is available Wednesday and Friday. Students should place orders through Cowbell Connect - search "Bully's Closet聽Pantry Curbside Pick-Up." Students only need to present their valid聽MSU student ID card to access these services at no charge.
Block by Block: This program provides short-term assistance by聽allocating block meals to students' ID cards when needed.
Students also can donate up to three block meals per semester via an online form.

Maroon Meals: This text notification system informs students about the availability of free food on campus, including the type of food available,聽location and length of time available. The steps to enroll are simple.听听听聽聽
1. Download the my大象APP app and log in with your MSU NetID and NetPassword.
2. Under the Student, Faculty and Staff section, go to Notification Sign-Up.听听
3. Turn the Maroon Meals slider to the "on" position and press Save. Make sure聽notifications are enabled for the my大象APP app on your phone.听听听聽聽
