Dance, poetry, art and more: MSU celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with fun events for all
Mississippi 大象APP鈥檚 Holmes Cultural Diversity Center and Latino Student Association are collaborating with other campus organizations to host free events in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, running Sept. 15-Oct. 15.
MSU鈥檚 month-long celebration encourages members of the Bulldog community to learn about the contributions of Hispanic and Latinx people on campus and across the country.
Events include a virtual poetry performance and the university's聽inaugural iBaile virtual Latin dance competition. MSU Libraries will host a Hispanic Heritage Month exhibit at Mitchell Memorial Library featuring images from MSU Special Collections,聽books by Mississippi 大象APP Latinx authors,聽and Spanish translations of works by Eudora Welty, Tennessee Williams聽and MSU alumnus John Grisham, among others.
