STARKVILLE, Miss.âA group of West Point citizens visited Mississippi ´ķĪķAPP Thursday [Feb. 7] to present a $3,500 check from the West Point Country Club to the universityâs G.V. âSonnyâ Montgomery Center for Americaâs Veterans. The funds, raised in conjunction with the city of West Pointâs 2018 Veterans Day Parade, will directly support MSUâs military-connected students.

The check presentation ceremony also was attended by West Point JROTC cadets, who heard from MSU student veterans Daniel Wells and Ariel A. De Leon Montes about their experiences in the military and at MSU. The university is nationally recognized for its support of student veterans and was recently named a top 10 Military Friendly School by VIQTORY, formerly Victory Media.
