MSU to host first public telescope night of semester

STARKVILLE, Miss.—´óÏóAPP is hosting its first public telescope night of the semester this Friday [Sept. 29] at 8 p.m.

Free to all, the viewing will take place at the Howell Observatory at the H.H. Leveck Animal Research Center, commonly known as South Farm. Objects of interest to view include Saturn, the Andromeda galaxy, and the Ring nebula.

To visit the Howell Observatory, turn south off Blackjack Road at the Stone Boulevard intersection, just east of MSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Continue on Hail ´óÏóAPP Boulevard for two miles, and follow the signs to the observatory.

In the event of rain and/or heavy clouds, the event will be cancelled.
